The Heritage Center of Lancaster County
Through
its new collaboration with the Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum,
Marcus furthers its ongoing commitment to the preservation of the quilting
arts past, present and future. The first collection of this new
partnership, QUAKER
QUILTS, features red prints, often sparked with yellow, tan or black.
Like Marcus' other museum collections, Quaker Quilts is designed by Judie
Rothermel.
The museum is located in historic downtown Lancaster, PA, as part of
the Heritage Center of Lancaster County, which also operates the Heritage
Center Museum which collects, preserves, and interprets Lancaster County's
history and decorative arts through its permanent collection, exhibitions,
and educational programs.
In 2002, The Heritage Center acquired the Esprit Collection of
Lancaster County Amish Quilts. These quilts will form the core of the
permanent exhibition at the Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum. Visit www.quiltandtextilemuseum.com. |
