Based on motifs from antique fabric prints, Paula Barnes' LATIMER FARMS collection highlights navy and leathery brown prints accented with gold, faded denim blue, olive, black and a touch of rusty red. The prints are beautifully anchored by a coordinating border stripe.
Their accompanying BOM design gives quilters a gorgeous selection of 6" blocks -- each is framed with multiple borders, then pieced in a Log Cabin style. Unique sashing and cornerstones create an Irish Chain effect, with the blocks connected by stars.
Both traditional and triangle paper methods are used to create the quilt, and to simplify the construction process, Red Crinoline Quilts has again teamed with Liz Eagan of Spinning Star Designs.
Following the success of their previous BOM programs that featured 5" blocks, Paula and Mary Ellen chose the 6" block for LATIMER FARMS to allow for a wider selection of designs. When framed, each of the 6" blocks measures 10" square. The result is a stunning 101" square quilt made up of 36 different blocks. Program begins January 2016!
