Regency Lap Quilt
(Finished Size 50" x 72")
Recreate this super-easy yet super-effective lap quilt by
Vicki Bellino of Bloom Creek. It requires two of our favorite
fabrics from the REGENCY
collection by Judie Rothermel. |
You'll Need: |
- 1-1/4 yards Regency "Cheater" print
- 1-1/4 yards Regency red floral print

| Getting
Started: |
| From
cheater cloth, make the following cuts 42-1/2" length
of fabric: |
- From selvage on both ends, cut on line below saw tooth
triangles, approximately 4-1/4". These strips will be
the top and bottom borders.
- Count down five rows (approximately 10") and cut on
line at bottom of 5th row. Make two of these cuts.
- Repeat the above step, cutting on the line below the 4th
row. Make two of these cuts.

| From
red floral, make the following cuts width of fabric: |
- Five, 6-1/2" x 42-1/2" strips
- Four, 4-1/2"strips (side borders)

| Quilt
Top Assembly: |
Following
layout diagram below, sew together quilt in horizontal rows,
beginning and ending with saw tooth triangle strip and
alternating with red floral 6-1/2" strips. Sew two red
floral 4-1/2" strips together for each side border and cut
to fit.
Layer, quilt and bind as desired. |
