SHERYL JOHNSON

Quilting has been a part of Sheryl Johnson's life since she was a child, and after raising her three daughters, she opened Temecula Quilt Co. in 2007. The bright, light-filled shop specializes in her favorite reproduction fabrics, filled with eye-catching displays and traditional quilts with a fresh, vintage look. Scrappy quilts made with numerous small pieces line the walls and fill an antique iron bed that greets customers as they walk in the door. Tucked here and there in baskets, boxes and baskets are the darling little quilts that have become her specialty. In 2009, Temecula Quilt co was honored to be chosen as one of the Top 10 Shops by Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler magazine. Sheryl's popular blog gives customers a feel for the shop even if they are unable to visit. The beautiful photographs that fill the blog are taken at her home in Temecula, California, which she shares with her husband, Tim. Sew-alongs featured on the blog connect quilters from all over the world with one common thread, their love of little pieces and small quilts.

Sheryl has filled her website with patterns exclusive to Temecula Quilt Co. She loves to recreate vintage quilts using only an image and a pile of scraps. Finding just the right fabric to make a truly unique quilt is all part of the fun. The website also features custom-cut bundles, perfect for making quilts in Temecula's signature style. Her goal is to keep things simple when she is quilting, and she offers all her favorite sewing necessities and a few treats for sale on her website as well. The original Temecula Quilt Co Ruler Boxes, made by Sheryl's husband, have become one of the website's most popular items.

Sheryl has been designing for Marcus Fabrics forseveral years and loves each new line more then the last. She draws her inspiration from a small vintage quilt and fabric collection, along with generous customers that share their treasures with her. It is her true delight and privilege to recreate prints and patterns from the past for you to make projects for today.
