Deb Grogan is the creative force behind The Quilt Factory, where for more than a decade she has been designing quilt patterns that blend fresh, fun style with approachable, well-crafted techniques. With over 25 years of experience as an artist and designer in the giftware industry, Deb built a successful career in art licensing long before discovering her love of quilting.
A self-taught quilter who picked up the craft in her late 40s, Deb quickly developed a passion for the process, especially for appliqué, which remains her favorite technique. Her
designs are known for their balance of playfulness and sophistication, as well as her distinctive eye for color, texture, and detail.
Deb was born on Christmas Eve, so it’s no surprise that she has a special fondness for holiday themes. Halloween and Christmas designs are among her favorites, infused with warmth, charm, and a touch of whimsy that reflect her joyful approach to creativity.
In addition to her pattern line, Deb recently celebrated the
release of her first book, A Quilted Christmas, published by Fox Chapel Publishing. The book showcases her love of
festive sewing, combining classic techniques with fresh ideas for the holiday season.
Deb now brings her experience, artistry, and passion for storytelling through fabric to a broader audience as a Marcus designer. Whether she’s creating a quilt pattern, a fun appliqué, or a new fabric collection, her goal remains the same to inspire makers of all levels to explore their creativity and find joy in every stitch.
