DEB EGGERS

Deb began quilting in 1998, catching the “quilting bug” after her first beginner class.

“Some of you may know the signs - in the quilt shop at least once a week, petting fabric at every chance, and of course noticing everything in the world could resemble a quilt pattern.”

Her passion led Deb to own a quilt shop from 2001 to 2014, and she began designing in 2004, seeking inspiration everywhere!

“People ask me how I would describe my style  I am a traditional quilter who likes to add a little twist, sometimes bordering on more modern, sometimes more primitive or stylistic.  Regardless of the influences, I always prefer fabric palettes of the darker, richer hues.”

I feel I have finally settled into my own look and have had many designs featured in magazines, both nationally and internationally. I love the challenge of seeing where fabric can take me and many times I work section by section never really knowing what the design outcome will be until I get there.  Now, as a fabric designer with Marcus, I can cross another item off my bucket list.”

Deb lives in Marion, IA with her husband Ray.  They travel across the country, vending at quilt shows and scoping out the beauty and uniqueness of each state.  They also enjoy antique shopping and just spending time with their son Will and his wife Tia.
