Marcus celebrates the ever-growing popularity of wool appliqu with Flower Box Friends, a new club program designed by Pastthyme Patterns! Based on a program that proved popular in the shop, this 12-month club features a different wool
appliqu flower block each month, divided into two 6-month Seasons.
Designer Darci Schipnewski recalls, My grandmother and my mother both had beautiful flower gardens as I was growing up.When I got my own home, I was going to have beautiful flower gardens as well, however, I don't enjoy the work that it takes to grow and maintain a beautiful flower garden.Therefore, I created a wool flower garden that doesn't produce weeds or need watering and I enjoy it immensely!!Who doesn't enjoy flowers??
Creative options include the addition of wool penny borders around each block for individual display, or combining blocks
as desired, for a variety of end uses including wall hangings, pillows, table toppers, bed runners, bag fronts, mounted or framed pieces, and more. Each flower is referred to as a Petal . Each Petal measures approximately 8 and can be placed on an optional 12 square background. The variety of flowers (including holiday looks) and the versatility of the blocks will make this a favorite for seasons to come. Because they re presented as small, separate projects, they are easy to kit, easy to complete, and economical for the shops and customers alike it even works well as a subscription or club concept, with notions bundled for easy access.
