“Designing this quilt felt just like spring. Here in the Pacific Northwest, strawberries signal the shift from spring into summer. Flowers begin to bloom, mushrooms pop up everywhere, and buttercups brighten the fields. The sun starts to peek out more often — but we still get plenty of rain, making it perfect mushroom weather. This quilt captures all of that springtime magic,” Jennie Lamb explains.
In a palette of strawberry red, blush, sage, butter and soft blue, the Strawberry Patched Block-of-the-Month quilt features bold straw-berry blocks, sweet little mushrooms, and trailing flower vines for a playful, storybook-inspired design.
The pattern is divided into six monthly sections, bringing each whimsical block to life at a relaxed, enjoyable pace. Months One through Five are dedicated to piecing the blocks, and Month Six focuses on the quilt top assembly. All of the blocks are traditionally pieced and beginner-friendly — ideal for the confident beginner looking for a satisfying project, in a choice of two border colors.
With a finished quilt size of 89” x 100”, the generously sized blocks provide a fast, approachable finish — without sacrificing the charm.
